Governor Lujan Grisham approved over $25 million in capital outlay projects in Lea County, including replacing water lines in downtown Lovington, fire truck upgrades for the Hobbs Fire Department, and improvements to the  Nor-Lea Hospital emergency room.

Local Economic Development Act appropriations, a program championed by Governor Lujan Grisham, have resulted in $19,500,000 in private investment in Lea County that will create 125 jobs. Governor Lujan Grisham’s administration supported 6 jobs in Lea County through the Job Training Incentive Program.

In just three years, Governor Lujan Grisham invested about $300 million in roads in southeaster New Mexico, more than the entire previous administration invested in all 8 years. The 17-mile stretch of highway 128 is nearly complete.
